# Half-Hour Wander > A short-walk builder that uses only the spots a walker already knows near their door. The walker gives the minutes they have, the minutes of their plain loop from the door and back, and one line per stop with the minutes it adds and a note. One metered run reads every note, gives one thing to look for at each stop, names the best stop and, when the walk runs long, picks which stops come off. The verdict is set off, trim or room to spare. URL: https://half-hour-wander.skillsafe.ai/ API: https://half-hour-wander.skillsafe.ai/api.html ## What runs where - Free, in the browser: a twist-timer dial of the whole walk (the plain loop in green, each walked stop in brass, a red pointer at the time available and a dashed red arc for any overrun), a walking stick with one medallion per stop (gold for the best stop, struck through when skipped), ticking stops on and off by hand, the page's free read of the sums, and SVG, PNG, Markdown, CSV and JSON downloads plus a printable pocket card. - Metered, one task (`wander`): for every stop a pull of 1 to 3 (3 when the note names something particular to find, 2 for a general note, 1 for no note), one look-for line built only from the note, keep or drop; the best stop; the total and the verdict copied from the page's sums; the stops a trim leaves out and the total after; a verdict reason, a plan note and a closing line. Runs on gpt-terra. - The page re-checks every reply: one stop back for each stop listed and copied word for word, every pull against its note, the best stop (highest pull, then fewest minutes, then earliest), the verdict (trim when more than 2 minutes over, room to spare when 8 or more under, otherwise set off), the trim (least pull first, then the longest, then the latest, never the best stop, until it fits) and the total after. - A trim's left-out stops can be taken off the list with one button, ready to read again. ## Contract - Input (all strings): task (`wander`), tone (`curious`, `calm`, `playful`), budget, loop_minutes, stops (`n | spot | minutes | note` lines, the note `-` when none was given), page_facts, optional clip_note and retry_note. - Reply: one JSON object with status (`ok` or `declined`), reason, walk_title, stops (each with n, spot, pull, look_for, keep), keeper, dropped, total_minutes, total_after, verdict (`trim`, `room-to-spare` or `set-off`), verdict_reason, plan_note, closing. - Declined: walks with a stop on or along railway tracks, a motorway, a rooftop, a building site, a fenced-off site, ice, a cliff edge, a quarry or a derelict building, a stop that names a specific real person, or anything about violence, crime, drugs or anything sexual or hateful. ## Sources - Built on the SkillSafe skill @mvanhorn/pp-wanderlust-goat: https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@mvanhorn/pp-wanderlust-goat (what a knowledgeable local would tell you to walk to), applied only to the walker's own list - the app never looks places up. - Saved walks live in the person's own SkillSafe account only when they press save. Walk on paths and pavements and watch for traffic. This is a walking toy for fun, not route, safety or health advice.
